Douson Offshore BOP Stack

The "twin" block of Lvda 21-2 oilfield in Bohai Oilfield has successfully settled offshore. As Chinese first heavy oil thermal recovery platform, it has condensed the technology and experience accumulated by scientific research, production and test personnel for ten years, and will increase reserves and production make greater contributions. The 13-5/8"-5000psi blowout preventer stack developed and designed by Douson contributed to the construction of Luda 21-2 oil platform.

 

 

Douson blowout preventers are distributed on three platforms: LD16-3, LD16-3S, and LD21-2. The oilfield is located in the Liaodong Bay area of the Bohai Sea. The drilling and completion methods of the three platforms are "drilling and completion with jack-up drilling platform + workover with HXJ180 workover rig + drilling adjustment wells with jack-up drilling platform".

 

 

The 10 wells configured on the Lvda 21-2WHPB platform all can be used for thermal recovery, and all supporting engineering facilities can carry out continuous thermal recovery production. It is the first offshore platform specifically designed for steam injection and thermal recovery production in China, which has profound significance for collecting various data and production indicators for large-scale development of offshore heavy oil. Thermal recovery is the most effective way in the recovery of heavy oil, mainly including multi-component thermal fluid thermal recovery and steam huff and puff thermal recovery. Reasonable arrangement of thermal recovery equipment is of great significance to thermal recovery operations on offshore platforms. It can not only ensure the safe implementation of thermal recovery operations, but also save deck area and reduce costs. China has a large reserve of heavy oil, and widely distributed, and the output accounts for a large proportion of the total oil production. How to reduce the production cost of heavy oil and improve economic benefits is an important trend in the development of this type of oil platform technology. The heavy oil development of Luda 21-2WHPB platform will usher in a milestone moment.

Douson blowout preventers have complete product specifications, good performance and convenient operation, which can meet the needs of various operations such as drilling and workover. It has been  applied to domestic and foreign major land oilfield projects and offshore platform drilling projects.

 

 

The smooth delivery and stable operation of BOP products on the offshore platform of Lvda 21-2 oilfield in Bohai Oilfield is the first time that Douson BOP products have been applied to the first heavy oil thermal recovery platform in China, fully proving that Douson' s well control equipment has the applicability, safety and reliability of various working conditions on site.
