Description

BG-300 type gate valves are widely used in fracturing operations in field and have gained recognitions from customers. The valves are designed to meet API 6A and API 16C specifications and have passed PR2F test. This valve has the characteristics of zero grease injection during fracturing, zero leakage, low operating torque and maintenance free.

 

Description

  • Wave springs, set behind the seats
  • Floating slab gate.
  • Convertible between manual and hydraulic operation.
  • Convertible from manual to hydraulic within 15min under pressure.
  • Self-energizing stem packing.
  • Tungsten carbide surface on the gate and seat.

Field Service

From June 29 to July 28, 2025, the BG-300 type

gate valve was used in Xinjiang, and was  

successfully cycled (opened/closed)

49 times throughout the fracturing process.

Valve Status by Well:

Open during fracturing of Well 15 and Well 16.

Closed during fracturing of Well 17.

Fracturing Stages Completed:

Well 16: 36 stages

Well 15: 33 stages

Well 17: 23 stages

Proppant Specifications: Three sand size grades

were used: 70-140 mesh, 30-50 mesh, and 40-70 mesh.

Overall Site Pressure Range: 40 ~ 90 MPa

Detailed On-Site Fracturing Parameters:

Pressure: 73 ~ 80 MPa

Flow Rate: 4 m³/min ~ 10.2 m³/min

Proppant Volume: 10 m³ ~ 100 m³

Valve Teardown Inspection:

No sand ingress was found in the valve's middle chamber.

Virtually no grease loss was observed in the middle

chamber.

(This inspection confirms the valve's excellent sealing integrity

and resistance to harsh downhole conditions.)
